The Falkirk Wheel, Falkirk, Scotland 2014-02-01

The Falkirk Wheel, Falkirk, Scotland
2014-02-01 Morning, Raining

We found this marvellous engineering piece on the website and decided to take a trip there.  It started to rain when we arrived there.  Parking is GBP2.00 per day and it was just 5 minutes walk to the entrance.  The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift in Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal.  It enables a boat to travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow.  The major usage of it is for leisure boat trip and tourist attraction.  The surrounding areas are attractive too, good for hiking and cycling.  It is worth to come again on a sunny day!

As usual, there was rainbow!

Turning pool at the junction of the two canal.
